As the owner of Carolina Digital Phone, I like to keep in touch with every facet of my business. Since I am busy with meetings and other business-related duties, I am not in the office every day. Like so many people nowadays, I work remotely much of the time. However, I make it a point to work from our offices in the historic Guilford Building on Elm Street a couple of times a week. In particular, I look forward to being in the office every Friday that I can. On Fridays, I like to take a couple of different employees to lunch to see how things are going and touch base with my team. It’s a great way to casually discuss important business topics in a relaxed atmosphere.
Supporting Local
Of course, as the owner of a local business with ties to Greensboro and the Triad, I believe strongly in supporting other local businesses. Our Friday lunch ritual always takes us to a local eatery. One of my favorites and also a favorite of our Engineering Support Team is Mythos Grill.
I have known Mythos owner Eddie Balla for years. He and his wife, Miranda, run the Market Street location and he always greets his customers with a smile. Mythos Grill is one of those local businesses where you feel like you are family when you walk in the door.
In addition to the friendly atmosphere, the menu at Mythos Grill offers lots of fresh and healthy options. When he opened his first Mythos Grill location at 900 W. Market Street in 2005, Eddie referred to it as “Greek fast-food, but cooked to order and fresh”. Let me tell you, Eddie is still making some of the best-tasting and freshest Greek food around.
Growth At Mythos Grill
There are now two Mythos Grills in Greensboro with the Battleground Avenue location recently relocating across the street to a larger space with ample parking at 2301 Battleground Avenue.
Another family member, Samir Balla, runs the Battleground location of Mythos Grill. Both locations take pride in offering reasonably priced authentic Greek food like their famous Chicken Souvlaki Skewers Marinated overnight from the freshest ingredients and purest Greek olive oil. I should also mention that Mythos caters, so keep them in mind for your next get-together.
If you haven’t been to Mythos Grill in a while or you are new to Greensboro, I highly recommend you stop in. Not only will you get a great meal and be welcomed like family, but you will also be supporting the local economy. And don’t forget to get a piece of baklava!
