Johnston County School is fairly large public school district with 45 schools and multiple central office locations. Carolina Digitals lead in moving the districts over 4000 users from an analog phone system to VoIP phone system in my opinion a smooth transition. A deployment this size is massive to say the least. A managing nightmare with many summer schedules to navigate. Custodian floor schedules, new construction and access availability schedules, and then the network maintenance schedules. Deployment of phones and the connectivity/training of VoIP phone system was a two company project and not without bumps along the way. Carolina Digital worked to resolve each issue in a timely manner. The Carolina Digital team availability throughout the project was spot on. The president of the company is very hands on and it reflects throughout the company. I could call, open a ticket, or email any of the Carolina Digital team they were always ready to assist. The confidence and knowledge of each team member is awesome. Honestly, I felt like they were waiting for me every time I had questions or issues… and I had plenty. And then there was end user training. Nobody wants to deal with change including our users…initially. And our training was not without some hand holding but overall huge success. Our school district used the train-the-trainer method. Each school sent a couple staff members from their school to learn to use the new phone system. The staff members would then return and train school staff. Carolina Digital trainers made learning the new system comfortable and fun. One receptionist commented prior training of being nervous of the new phone system. After training surprise at what she learned returned to school and immediately began working on phone routing, and call structure. We could not have asked for better results. Overall, my experience with Carolina Digital is positive. Carolina Digitals help moving from analog to VoIP has been a wonderful change and smooth transition for our school district. Ours is a small business where economics as well as functionality impact our decision-making for process as well as product. What we buy and use must be both functional and cost-efficient. I work for the Augusta County School system in VA, and when we opened this morning the majority of our phones had no dial tone, etc. On one of phones in the office, that did have a dial tone, I was able to call 611 and I was greeted by Rob Mitchell.
