YEALINK REDIRECT TO PROVISIONING SERVER (RPS)

Carolina Digital Phone partners with Yealink to offer free RPS for our Yealink IP telephone customers all over the world. We can simply enter the MAC address of an IP phone and the URL of the provisioning server into Yealink’s RPS, upon initial boot-up the phone can be redirected to our server for configuration updating. Consequently, it is no longer necessary to unpack, configure or repack a phone before shipping to your customer. RPS saves us our staff time having to manually provision each IP based telephone, and also saves costs by shipping Yealink phones directly to you. Mass deployments are a perfect time when we use RPS, since a “zero-touch” process cuts down on errors. Our customers can rest easy knowing that RPS connections are encrypted with HTTPS, and that Yealink has backup mechanisms in place to ensure the availability of their RPS server.

How we use RPS:

  1. We register the MAC addresses of your Yealink IP Phones to be configured with the URL of our provisioning server on Yealink’s RPS server
  2. Next you power your Yealink phones & connect them to the web
  3. Then the phone automatically redirects from the Yealink RPS to your provisioning server and provisions your custom settings.

Yealink’s RPS is particularly useful for us so we can easily edit and manage phones without ever needing local access to the phone. As your RPS administrator we spend less time having to hassle with devices. When we configure the MAC addresses and URL of the provisioning server, it eliminates the need for users to edit their own provisioning URL paths. RPS helps us make an outstanding first impression with new customers in the most vital stage of our relationship.

Carolina Digital was so helpful to us when we had to transition to a virtual office. The service is great and the people are so helpful.
