We’re Improving Our Cloud Phone System with Rich Call Data for Smartphones

At Carolina Digital Phone, we are constantly working on ways to improve our advanced and affordable cloud phone system. Today, we are thrilled to give you a sneak preview of an innovation that will be available to ALL of our customers at NO ADDITIONAL COST in the coming months: rich call data for smartphones.

With this new feature, our customers who contact customers, suppliers, or any other party that has a smartphone will be able to:

  • Display their logo or any other image (e.g. headshot) on the receiving party’s Caller ID screen. This can significantly increase the chances of a call being answered. Studies have found that visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text

  • Display a customized name on the receiving party’s Caller ID screen. This is in addition to the company name and could be something like “Help Desk Technician”, “Customer Service Department”, or anything else. As with adding a logo/image, adding this detail can significantly increase the chances of a call being answered.

  • Display a customized URL on the receiving party’s Caller ID screen. For example, a company can provide a link to a page with special promotions, a FAQ, an order page, or anything else.

  • Add a contact card, which could include email address, physical address, and anything else. With a single tap, the receiving party adds these details to their smartphone and can reference them at any time.

Enterprise-Grade Security

It is also important to note that all of the information that companies choose to share is cryptographically secured. It cannot be snooped or tampered with.

The Bottom Line

This leading-edge rich call data helps our customers deepen relationships and increase engagement with customers (and other parties) who use smartphones — which in the U.S. includes nearly 300 million people or more than 90% of the overall population.

And as we mentioned earlier but will repeat again: this enhancement will be available to ALL of our customers, and there will be NO additional cost of any kind. It is just one of the many ways that we are always striving to increase the value, functionality, and performance of our cloud phone system.
